The short version
The List is a live, ephemeral sign-up tool. We collect the minimum data to run your event and delete it shortly after. We do not require accounts, do not track performers across events, and do not sell or share data with third parties.
What we collect
- Performer sign-ups: name plus any optional fields the host asked for (phone number, song, set notes, party size, etc.).
- Event configuration: event name, slot settings, custom fields, times.
- Operational data: IP-based rate limits, error logs, and coarse request counts. Retained only as long as needed to prevent abuse.
How long we keep it
Event data is deleted 48 hours after the event's last activity via Redis TTL. Series records (the stable wrapper around recurring nights) persist as long as the host keeps using them. Deleting a series removes its admin pointer; any child events already ran through the 48-hour TTL.
Legal basis (UK GDPR)
Our legal basis for processing performer sign-ups is legitimate interest: running the event the performer signed up for. We apply data minimisation by only collecting the fields the host asked for and keeping data for the shortest time practical.
Your rights
You can ask us to delete any personal data we hold about you by emailing the address below. Because the 48-hour TTL is automatic, in most cases your data has already been erased by the time you think to ask.
Ads and analytics
This site may serve ads via Google AdSense on marketing pages (the landing hub and vertical pages). Sign-up pages carry no ads. If and when ads are enabled, a cookie consent banner will appear before any non-essential cookies are set.
Aggregate page analytics (without personal identifiers) may be collected via privacy-respecting tools to help us understand which verticals are most useful.
